How to make cartoons Using Gimp?



I am starting a new tutorials as i plan to learn gimp myself.. will share with u guys what i learn....
Today, let me talk about how to make cartoons or cartoonize an image using gimp...

Layer->Duplicate LayerSelect the new layer, Filters->Edge-Detect->Edge, select Sobel, Amount should be 2.0, and Black should be checked.Invert the edge-mask layer, it’s in Layers->Colors->InvertBack in the Layers Dialog, change the Layer Mode to DividePlay around with Layer mode settings, desaturate the top layer, blur or otherwise mess up the bottom layer


I did multiply for Overlay and Divide for bottom layer...
