MySpace will rename and relaunch its video sharing service as MySpaceTV on Thursday, according to the NY Times.
MySpace TV will operate as a standalone service and is being billed as a direct competitor to YouTube. We’ve speculated on News Corps plans for a YouTube competitor previously; rumors first surfaced in December 06 and more recently NBC and News Corp were to launch a site in March. Nothing much has happened since aside from an upgrade to MySpace Video that included branded channels in May. Thursday’s launch of MySpaceTV may well be the long awaited NBC/ News Corp YouTube killer. It’s probably a case of MySpace TV being better late than never in launching, even if YouTube has doubled its traffic since October and is now even harder to challenge.
Online social networking powerhouse MySpace has set out to knock YouTube from its throne by launching a website devoted to Internet video and television shows.

MySpaceTV is a platform for homemade video and professional productions, such as news programs and "webisodes" made for the Internet of US shows like Prom Queen.

"This works just as well for NBC and Fox and for the aspiring Steven Spielberg as it does for the kid doing skateboard tricks on the weekend," MySpace vice-president Jeff Berman told AFP.

"We've seen video explode as a way for users to connect."

The test program unveiled is customised in seven languages for the US Internet firm's users worldwide.

The site's creators hope to replicate the success of MySpace, which gets more visitors than any other website in the United States and is the most popular online social community in the world, according to industry statistics.

The teen-oriented website is a forum in which people share pictures, journal entries, videos, music and more on personalised profile pages.

MySpaceTV is taking on YouTube, the undisputed king of online video sharing.

Its share of the US market surged 70 per cent in the first five months of 2007, reports tracking firm Hitwise.

Since February, MySpace has gained on Google-owned YouTube when it comes to the numbers of videos streamed to people's computers

Software major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which entered into an agreement to provide entire software requirement to Scuderia Ferrari for its Formula one cars, on Tuesday said it plans to enhance relationship with the Italian auto major.

"We plan to adopt offshoring model to provide software to Ferrari. We are enhancing our relationship with Ferrari, which requires high precision jobs," TCS Chief Executive Officer S Ramadorai said.

He said the agreement with Ferrari was a prestigious feat by any Indian company and was unique in many ways than one, since FI cars are very complex in nature, in which a nano second makes a whole lot of difference.

But most of the emphasis was given on Sanjay Dutt's "phoenix like" comeback from the ashes of terrorist charges. Surfing through the channels, one news on BBC startled me. It read "Hisbul Mujahidin's most wanted terrorist 'Sohel Faisal' killed in Anantnag , India . Indian Major leading the operation lost his life in the process. Four others are injured.

It was past midnight , I started visiting the stupid Indian channels, but Sanjay Dutt was still ruling. They were telling how Sanjay pleaded to the court saying 'I'm the sole bread earner for my family', 'I have a daughter who is studying in US' and so on. Then they showed how Sanjay was not wearing his lucky blue shirt while he was hearing the verdict and also how he went to every temple and prayed for the last few months. A suspect in Mumbai bomb blasts, convicted under armory act...was being transformed into a hero.

Sure Sanjay Dutt has a daughter; Sure he did not do any terrorist activity. Possessing an AK47 is considered too elementary in terrorist community and also one who possesses an AK47 has a right to possess a pistol so that again is not such a big crime; Sure Sanjay Dutt went to all the temples;
Sure he did a lot of Gandhigiri but then........ ..

Major Manish H Pitambare got the information from his sources about the terrorists' whereabouts. Wasting no time he attacked the camp, killed Hisbul Mujahidin's supremo and in the process lost his life to the bullets fired from an AK47. He is survived by a wife and daughter (just like Sanjay Dutt) who's only 18 months old.

Major Manish never said 'I have a daughter' before he took the decision to attack the terrorists in the darkest of nights. He never thought about having a family and he being the bread earner. No news channel covered this since they were too busy hyping a former drug addict, a suspect who's linked to bomb blasts which killed hundreds. Their aim was to show how he defied the TADA charges and they were so successful that his conviction in possession of armory had no meaning. They also concluded that his parents in heaven must be happy and proud of him.

Parents of Major Manish are still living and they have to live rest of their lives without their beloved son. His daughter won't ever see her daddy again.

Pakistan ranked 12th among 'failed states':: sources The Times of India

LAHORE: Pakistan has been ranked the 12th most unstable country in the world, according to the 2007 Failed State Index while Sudan has topped the infamous list for the second year in a row.

While Afghanistan is ranked eighth, Pakistan is ahead of North Korea at 13th. Sudan has been placed on top of the index, largely because of the humanitarian catastrophe in Darfur. The Foreign Policy magazine issued the index.

From the earlier fourth position, Iraq now ranks as the second most unstable country.

The other seven countries in the top 10 are all in Africa. They include Somalia, Zimbabwe, the Ivory Coast and Congo.

The index of 177 countries gives each country points out of 10 for twelve "social indicators of instability", with higher scores indicating greater instability.

Pakistan was widely perceived as "a failed state' at the turn of the century. The economy turned around gradually after the US poured in funds and arms in the wake of 9/11 and the war in Afghanistan.

Pakistan's highest scores were for 'security apparatus' (9.5), 'factionalised elites' (9.5) and 'group grievance' (9.0). Its best score was for the economy (5.8).

In a parallel series of reports, the Fund for Peace, a research and advocacy group, has suggested a policy of managed partition for Iraq.

The experiences of Iraq, as well as Afghanistan, show that billions of dollars in aid may be futile unless accompanied by a functioning government.

* Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP).
* Update the virus definitions if you have any anti-virus program.
* Run a full system scan and delete all the files detected. Use the Security Response "Tool to reset shell\open\command registry subkeys."
* Delete any values added to the registry.
* Delete the scheduled task.



1. To disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP)

If you are running Windows Me or Windows XP, we recommend that you temporarily turn off System Restore. Windows Me/XP uses this feature, which is enabled by default, to restore the files on your computer in case they become damaged. If a virus, worm, or Trojan infects a computer, System Restore may back up the virus, worm, or Trojan on the computer.

Windows prevents outside programs, including antivirus programs, from modifying System Restore. Therefore, antivirus programs or tools cannot remove threats in the System Restore folder. As a result, System Restore has the potential of restoring an infected file on your computer, even after you have cleaned the infected files from all the other locations.

Also, a virus scan may detect a threat in the System Restore folder even though you have removed the threat.
4. Navigate to the subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

5. In the right pane, delete the value:

This risk makes changes to the Windows registry that may prevent you from running executable files. Security Response has developed a tool to reset these values to the default settings. This tool is the easiest way to fix this.

FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

1. Download the file UnHookExec.inf and save it to your Windows desktop.

(If you cannot connect to the Internet from the infected computer, download to an uninfected computer then save it to a floppy disk. Then take the floppy disk and insert it in the floppy disk drive of the infected computer.)

Note: The tool has a .inf file extension.

2. Locate the download file, either on the Windows desktop or the floppy disk.

3. Right-click the UnHookExec.inf file and click install. (This is a small file. It does not display any notice or boxes when you run it.)

4. Follow any other instructions for the threat that you are trying to remove.


5. To delete the value from the registry


Important: We strongly recommends that you back up the registry before making any changes to it. Incorrect changes to the registry can result in permanent data loss or corrupted files.

Manual steps to export registry subkeys
You can follow these steps to export a registry subkey before you edit it.

Note:: Do not follow these steps to export a whole registry subtree. (HKEY_CURRENT_USER is an example of such a subtree.) If you must back up whole registry subtrees, back up the whole registry instead.

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
3. Locate and then click the subkey that contains the value that you want to edit.
4. On the File menu, click Export.
5. In the Save in box, select a location where you want to save the Registration Entries (.reg) file, type a file name in the File name box, and then click Save.


Modify the specified subkeys only.

1. Click Start > Run.
2. Type regedit
3. Click OK.

Note: If the registry editor fails to open the threat may have modified the registry to prevent access to the registry.

Ferrari gets in Guinness with record 385 cars at Silverstone

Last Saturday, Ferrari finally got its wish and set the Guinness World Record for the Largest Parade of Ferrari Cars. It wasn't easy, requiring 385 cars to drive a distance of at least two miles with each car being no farther than two car lengths apart.

The process for Guinness World Record certification also dictated that a representative be on hand to verify the attempt, as well as count the total number of cars at the beginning and end of the parade lap. Ferrari estimates that over £60 million worth of Italian automotive exotica was on the Silverstone Circuit at once, including everything from a 250 California Spyder to a 250GTO to F40s, F50s, Enzos and ultra-rare FXX.

The record attempt honors Ferrari's 60th Anniversary, as well as the 40th Anniversary of the Ferrari Owners Club of Great Britain, the latter of which provided most of the cars for the record-breaking lap of Silverstone.

The event was also one of the final stops on the Ferrari 60 Relay, which will end on June 23rd when the convoy rolls into Maranello after schlepping the 60th Anniversary Relay Baton all the way around the world.

Banksy::The London's invisible man.

You must be wondering that i am posting too much about London nowadays. But whatever it is a mere co-incidence or destiny that again i have come across something which links back to the city on the bank of The Great Thames. The name is Banksy the famous graphiti artist who is been voted the best British artist alive. He is a hidden artist and renowned for his subcersive art. Graphiti is illegal in Britain and thus he keeps his identity hidden.

His messages are usually ant-war,anti capitalist,anti-establishments or pro-freedom.One can found his work while walking down the lanes of the city.

When two guys painted over this artwork of two Brighton coppers kissing (one of the most photographed sights in Brighton), they were convicted on charges of ‘criminal damage’.

Robert Banks (born 1974), better known as Banksy, is a well-known yet pseudo-anonymous English graffiti artist from Yate near Bristol. His artworks are often satirical pieces of art which encompass topics from politics, culture, and ethics. His street art, which combines graffiti with a distinctive stencilling technique, has appeared in London and in cities around the world.

Banksy started as a freehand graffiti artist in the late 1990s as one of Bristol's DryBreadZ Crew (DBZ), often assisting writers Kato and Tes. In 1998 he arranged the enormous 'Walls On Fire' graffiti jam on the site of the future '@t Bristol' development. The weekend long event drew artists from all over the UK and Europe and his organisation of the event established his name within the European graffiti scene. By 2000 he had turned to the art of stencilling after realising how much less time it took to complete a 'piece'. He claims he changed to stencilling whilst he was hiding from the police under a train carriage, and soon became more widely noticed for his art around Bristol and London.


Banksy's stencils feature striking and humorous images occasionally combined with slogans. The message is usually anti-war, anti-capitalist, anti-establishment or pro-freedom. Subjects include animals such as monkeys and rats, policemen, soldiers, children and the elderly. He also makes stickers (the Neighbourhood Watch subvert) and sculpture (the murdered phonebox), and was responsible for the cover art of Blur's 2003 album Think Tank.

After Christina Aguilera bought an original of Queen Victoria as a lesbian and two prints for £25,000, on 19 October 2006 a set of Kate Moss paintings sold in Sotheby's London for £50,400, setting an auction record for Banksy's work. The six silk-screen prints, featuring the model painted in the style of Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe pictures, sold for five times its estimated value. His stencil of a green Mona Lisa with paint dripping from her eyes sold for £57,600 at the same auction.

On 7 February 2007, Sotheby's auction house in London auctioned three Banksy works and reached the highest ever price for a Banksy work at auction of over £102,000 for his Bombing Middle England. Two of his other graffiti works, Balloon Girl and Bomb Hugger, sold for £37,200 and £31,200 respectively, which were well above their estimate prices.

London: Cyclists in Britain and around the world are gearing up to celebrate the fourth World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR), in protest against global oil dependency. According to the WNBR Web site, bike races are planned in Brighton, Bristol, Bath, Edinburgh, and London and are open not just to cyclists, but also nude roller skaters ment. and skateboarders.

The main event is expected to be in London with around 1,000-2,000 participants lining up at the statue of Achilles in Hyde Park for a 10 km ride, which will pass some of London's most famous tourist sites, including Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.

What do Right-wing political party, Shiv Sena and Internet giant, Google, have in common? It's Google's social networking site Orkut, which the Shiv Sena wants banned because Shiv Sena Supremo Bal Thackeray and Maratha idol, Shivaji, has been insulted on some communities on Orkut.

Since demanding a ban for the past one week, Shiv Sainiks have broken a glass door at a cyber café in Maland, demanded that Orkut be 'blocked' in cybercafes, proceeded to beat up cybercafe owners who didn't comply with the ban and even roughed up users who were seen logging on to the site.

However, now Shiv Sena has contacted the Mumbai Police saying that it does not want Orkut banned completely but only wants the offensive communities pulled down.

For those new to the workings of a social networking site, a 'community' or a 'group' does not (necessarily) have religious or political affiliations and is (usually) a common interest group where people come together and interact, discuss and share their views on issues, trends, fashion, films, politics, George Bush, Himesh Reshammiya and the works.

The entire concept behind social networking is (apparently) to literally expand your social network – through a network of common friends, work place affiliations and common interests.

These sites are also places where people freely, without censorship, discuss what's on their minds in various forums. With the demand for a ban on Orkut, the whole idea of interacting 'freely' takes a backseat and the entire question of freedom of speech and expression takes forefront.

And yet, social networking site is not just about extending your friends' list.

Murders, harassment, sexual intimidation, false identities, fraud, misuse of pictures, stalking… there is a much darker side that makes a social network look like a Tarantula's web.

Common interest groups include communities like, 'I like having sex with pregnant women', 'I like raping women', 'Mother Teresa is a fraud', 'Peep at your neighbour's daughter', 'Randi No. 1' and of course the 'I hate Pakistan' communities.

You could have your pictures posted on any one of these communities, you could have someone posing as you and posting comments and you could have someone track your activities and harass you too.

So, that brings up the question: Does freedom of speech and expression mean hate sites, hate communities and generally vilifying groups? And does a social networking site – which promotes itself as a 'safe' platform for idea exchange – have any responsibility towards the content that is put up on it?

The recent Virginia Tech massacre had everyone questioning the role of the Internet in promoting violence amongst the youth. However, is it the Internet that promotes deviant behaviour or is it people who use the Internet to assuage their perverted needs?

After the Virgina Tech massacre, we had asked networking site Fropper.com 's business head, Navin Mittal, if he thought the Internet and its various options – networking sites being one of them – be blamed for the content that is put up.

Mittal said, "The Internet cannot be blamed. The Internet provides access and connectivity and has both positive and negative effects. The medium cannot be blamed, it's how people use it. Your education, family background and the way you have been taught to handle things often governs what you do on the Internet. Then again, terrorists use mobile phones for a lot of use other than making calls. Would you say people stop using phones as well?"

Task Manger Not opening:: Solution

Here is how u can get it back

Step 1:Click Start/Run

5. Diskpart will remove the letter .Windows XP is not having capabilty to identify the unkown volume.

Don afraid ur Data will ramin same . To Come backe the Drive repeat the process . but in 4th step whish is shown in this post replace " remove" to "assign"i mean type " assign letter E"

To get the missing folder options in windows xp

1. Open Registry Editor

2. Navigate to the following Registry value:hkey current user-->software-->microsoft-->windows-->currentversion-->policies-->explorer

3. In the Right Pane there will be an entry "NoFolderOptions" and the value to the entry is set to 1.

4. To get back your Folder Option, change the DWORD value to 0 or delete the entry.

5. Restart the System and your problem will be solved.
